Today we’ll look at some of the 5 things you should never lend. We will also educate you on how to keep them clean and in good shape.

We’ve all heard that you should never borrow another person’s comb or toothbrush. However, there are numerous additional personal items that we periodically discuss with others but should not.

5 Things You Should Never Lend

Below are the 5 things you should never lend, even to your nearest and dearest:

    Curlers and hair clips

Most people understand that lending your comb to another person is a poor idea. The same is true for any hair accessory that comes into touch with the scalp! Borrowed headbands, combs, scrunchies, or curlers can readily spread fungi and lice.

Depending on the frequency of use, soft rubber bands should be washed every few weeks. Soap and water can be used to clean rollers and metal hair clips. Make a point of cleaning them later.

    Lipstick and Lip Gloss

Your pal has forgotten her makeup kit at home. Is it perfectly acceptable to lend her your lipstick In fact, you should avoid doing so. Sharing lipstick or lip gloss can readily spread diseases like herpes.

Even if a person does not have a visible rash, the virus can be found in the mucous membranes of the mouth and saliva. There is currently no 100% effective cure for herpes.

Stop using the contaminated lipstick if the infection has spread. Once the rash has healed, it is best to purchase fresh cosmetics set to keep the disease at bay. To eliminate dirt and germs buildup, remove the top layer of lipstick with a clean tissue on a regular basis.

    Deodorants

Even when using antibacterial deodorants, surfaces that come into contact with the skin can harbor bacteria. After all, we’re attempting to eliminate the microorganisms that generate sweat odor.

Deodorant should be used shortly after showering when your skin is still clean. If you need to refresh your armpits during the day, use a damp tissue first.

    Headphones

Each person’s earwax contains a unique balance of bacterial flora. When we share headphones with a friend, we risk upsetting that delicate equilibrium. This can result in an ear infection.

The wax on the surface of the headphones can be removed with a cotton bud or cotton swab bathed in hydrogen peroxide. To avoid harming the speakers, do not use too much liquid.

By immersing electrodes in an alcohol solution, they can be sterilized. If you use your headphones frequently, make sure to clean them at least once a week.

    Towels

A towel’s primary role is to absorb as much liquid as possible from the body’s surface. Even if you’re perfectly healthy, the increased humidity inside the bathroom slowly transforms the damp fabric of your towel into a breeding ground for mold, germs, and fungus.

Towels should be changed every 3-4 days, according to hygiene experts. It is preferable to dry the towels on the balcony or in a dry location rather than in the bathroom.
