This post is a complete typhoid treatment guidelines 2023! Make sure you read the post to the end!

Typhoid fever is a contagious disease caused by the bacteria E. typhosa. It is spread through contaminated water, milk, and food.

Approximately 3% of patients who have it become carriers, meaning they carry the virulent
germs in their bodies and contaminate food, water, and even objects they touch.

As a result, everyone must exercise caution, especially during epidemics. Never
drink water from a pool, tank, or stream unless it has been thoroughly boiled.
    Wells are also not safe.

Typhoid germs and other microorganisms enter the body through unclean water, and we
    must be constantly vigilant.

It is not safe to drink from public drinking cups or those provided by coffee
    vendors on railway platforms.

All raw fruit should be washed with soap and water or peeled, preferably both
    (washed and peeled).

Children should be cautious about where they play and should wash their hands
    frequently.

Flies are one of the most important carriers of typhoid and other diseases. Keep them
    away from food and kids.

    Symptoms Of Typhoid

Typhoid fever can develop if a typhoid infection is not treated (or if the patient is
not protected by vaccination). This illness is quite common among those who
have been infected and includes the following symptoms:

    • Fever
    • Abdominal pain
    • Headaches
    • Tiredness
    • Coughing
    • Appetite reduction
    • Blotches on the skin
    • Bowel movement problems

If you experience any of these symptoms while traveling or after returning from a
trip, it’s time to see a certified travel specialist. Typhoid is a potentially
fatal disease. It is not something to be taken lightly.

Remember that it is far more effective to visit a travel clinic before your trip to
ensure that you remain healthy throughout your journey.

A simple vaccination makes far more sense than dealing with the consequences of a
    typhoid infection.

    Complications Of Fever

Complications are likely in 25 to 30% of untreated typhoid cases. Almost every part of the
body could be involved. The most common complication is intestinal wall
    perforation, which necessitates surgical intervention.

If the patient develops severe abdominal pains, this complication should be
suspected. The patient will die of general peritonitis unless the hole is
closed. Hemorrhage is another serious complication. This may not be
significant, but it could be massive, necessitating transfusions.

    Typhoid Treatment Guidelines 2023

Typhoid is prevalent throughout developing nations because of people’s poor hygiene.
The following are some typhoid treatment guidelines 2023.

    1) Bitter leaf juice

Take a cup of freshly squeezed bitter leaf juice twice daily until the symptoms
subside. Alternatively, boil the bitter leave plant’s stem and root and drink a
glass twice daily until the symptoms go away.

Please keep in mind that if you take more than 5 leaves per cup, you may experience
    loose stool or purges.

    2) Apple cider vinegar

In a shot of water, combine ½ teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. You could try
adding honey to make it tastier and more appealing to you.

For 5 days, take this mixture before each meal. Vinegar will cause you to urinate
frequently, so keep a toilet nearby.

    3) Garlic for autoimmune

Garlic is a natural antibiotic that absorbs mucous and kills bacteria. If you can, cut
the garlic clove into small pieces and swallow it.

Yes, you will smell and feel strange in your stomach, but it works. For a few days,
consume several pieces of raw garlic per day.

    4) Lemons

Drink the juice of an entire lemon or lime with hot or cold water and honey to taste.

Lemons and limes are natural disinfectants that will alkalinize your digestive tract.
For one week after a typhoid diagnosis, add lemon slices to your water.

    5) Apples and carrots

Snack on apples and carrots for good digestion; remember to thoroughly wash all
fruits before consumption to ensure that all bacteria is removed.

    6) Traditional typhoid fever lemon grass remedy

    Ingredients

    • Lemon grass
    • Limes
    • Unripe paw-paw
    • Unripe pineapples
    • Alabukun powder
    • Black tea/Lipton tea bags
    • Water

    Preparation:

Cut these items (lemon grass, 25 limes, 2 unripe paw-paw, 2 unripe pineapples) into
pieces and combine them with 6 bags of black tea.

Bring the mixture to a boil in 3 liters of water for 30 to 40 minutes. Add the
alabukun powder 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time.

Dosage: 1 glass, 2 times per day for one week. When it’s hot, drink it.

    7) Take a lukewarm bath to relax

A lukewarm bath can also help cool you down and make you feel more comfortable if
    you have a fever.

However, avoid using ice, cold baths, or alcohol rubs to cool yourself. While these will
undoubtedly cool your skin, they may also cause shivering, which will raise
    your core body temperature.

Also, don’t try to get rid of the fever completely. Most germs that cause infections
thrive at a normal body temperature of 98.6°F, so an increase in temperature is
your body’s way of fighting an infection.

    8) Keep Your Home at a Comfortable Temperature

If you have a fever, you should stay in a room that is neither too hot nor too
cold. Attempt to maintain a comfortable temperature.

If it’s too stuffy or hot, a fan can come in handy. Also, don’t overburden yourself.
A layer of light clothing and a light blanket should be enough to keep you
    warm.

If you’re overdressed or in an overly warm environment, your body temperature may
    rise even further.

    9) To Fight Infection, Drink Clove Tea

Clove has been shown in studies to be effective against the bacteria that cause
typhoid. So, drinking clove tea can assist your body in fighting this
    infection.

Pour a cup of boiling water over a heaping tablespoon of cloves to make clove tea.
Allow it to steep for 10 minutes before straining it for a healing drink.

    10) To Treat Diarrhea, Eat Cooked Unripe Bananas

Typhoid can cause both diarrhea and constipation. If you have diarrhea, eating cooked
    unripe bananas may help.

Unripe bananas contain pectin, a type of starch that stimulates water and salt
absorption in your colon and makes your stool firmer. If you have the runs, eat
    some cooked unripe bananas.

    11) Include Garlic in Your Diet to Fight Inflammation

Garlic is a spice that is popular for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial
properties. Furthermore, studies show that it is effective against Salmonella
typhi. To help your body fight typhoid, chop up a few cloves and add them to
    nourishing soups.

    12) Eat Well to Aid Your Body’s Fight Against Infection

You may not feel like eating, but you must eat on a regular basis to provide your
body with the energy and nutrients it requires to fight infection.

If the thought of three large square meals a day overwhelms you, try smaller but
more frequent meals. Soft, bland foods may also be more appealing.

Porridges or gruel made from cereal, as well as lentil soups, can be beneficial at this
    time.
